Yuri Borgianni

Yuri Borgianni, Ph.D.

Yuri Borgianni obtained the Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florence, Italy (2005) and the Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the same Institution (2014). He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy), where he teaches “Technical Drawing and Industrial Engineering Methods" and "Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping". His research interests include value innovation, ideation within engineering design, creative development of new products, re-engineering of industrial processes, non-standard employment of problem-solving techniques, Computer-Aided Innovation, intellectual property. He is author of about 50 publications in scientific journals and international conferences.

Valentina Lenarduzzi, Ph.D.

Valentina Lenarduzzi obtained the Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Insubria (Italy) in 2015, working on data analysis in Software Engineering. She is surrently a Research Assistant at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy). Her research activities are focused on quantitative and qualitative research on Empirical Software Engineering. She also spent 8 months as Visiting Researcher at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) working on Empirical Software Engineering in Embedded Software and Agile projects. In 2011 She was one of the co-founders of Opensoftengineering s.r.l., a spin-off company of the University of Insubria.

Federico Rotini, Ph.D.

Federico Rotini obtained the master degree in Mechanical Engineering at Florence University. He is Ph.D. in Machine Design and works as Assistant Professor since 2005 at the Faculty of Engineering of the Florence University. His main topics of research concern the development of methodologies to support Creativity in product and process innovation, Business Process Re-engineering activities and the Product Design Cycle. He is involved in many research projects having national and international relevance. He is author of more than 90 scientific papers presented in International Conferences and published in authoritative Journals, one book and three patents. He is reviewer for international scientific journals and conferences. He holds the course of “Product Development” at the School of Engineering of Florence University for the master degree in Mechanical Engineering.
